Northern Lights

‘Northern Lights’, introduced by BMS as part of its 90th anniversary season, is designed to showcase and develop established and upcoming artists from Northern Ireland.

BMS has had a long history of support for local musicians, both through concert opportunities in the main season and through events organised by the Friends of the BMS. The ‘Northern Lights’ venture builds on this history, and we aim to include concerts by Northern Ireland born or based musicians on a regular basis during our season from now on. The scheme will be used as a means of helping local artists develop new repertoire for themselves either alone or in partnership with other artists.
