2011 Nicola BenedettiBelfast Piano Trio launched the 2011 season in the unique surroundings of Belfast City Hall.

Included for the first time was Northern Lights, a venture designed to showcase and develop established and upcoming artists from Northern Ireland.  Giselle Allen, along with Belfast Piano Trio, were the first artists to be featured in this way.  They appeared in the Festival with Scottish violinist Nicola Benedetti, the Razumovsky Ensemble, pianist Imogen Cooper and the Škampa String Quartet.

Fine Arts Brass gave the Summer Celebrity Recital in the Belfast Harbour Commission, and a new ‘mini-fest’ took place in November, featuring the Cavaleri String Quartet and mezzo Carolyn Dobbin, accompanied by Ingrid Surgenor
