BMS 90th Anniversary Development Fund

 

 

In 2011 the Belfast Music Society celebrates 90 years of continuous concert promotion in the city of Belfast. Help us continue this wonderful tradition!

BMS is committed to developing chamber music in Belfast. We have established a Development Fund for chamber music, which will contribute to three main areas of BMS activity.

NORTHERN LIGHTS

A new venture designed to support Northern Ireland born or based artists through concerts in the BMS International Festival of Chamber Music.

NEW WORKS

New works commissioned from local composers for inclusion in the Festival or Winter/Summer recitals. Recent commissions include:
Elaine Agnew 'Gesture' for the Skampa Quartet (2010/11)
Elaine Agnew 'Take Off' for the CBSM String Orchestra (2010/11)
Michael Alcorn 'Time's Arrow' for Fine Arts Brass (2011/12)
