Belfast News-Letter’s column Mainly for Women / In Social Circles / By Our Lady Correspondent had this:
‘Under the presidency of Mrs. Herbert Warnock, and with Mrs. D. R. Taylor as hon. Secretary, the British Music Society of Northern Ireland has made rapid strides of late. Its membership increased amazingly and its meetings were characterised by great enthusiasm. Most attractive programmes had been arranged for the coming session; but unfortunately, it has been found impossible to carry these out under existing conditions. The committee, how¬ever, are anxious not to deprive their members altogether of the consolation of music during these troubled times. They have decided, therefore, that they will, if possible, arrange a modified programme for the New Year.’
