Are you passionate about chamber music and supporting local young musicians? Why not become a BMS Friend, and help to support the ongoing provision of world-class chamber music in Belfast?
By becoming a BMS Friend, you will be:
BMS Friends
- supporting local musicians and composers (through events including the Northern Lights Mini-Fest and the Night Music series)
- helping develop the skills of up-and-coming musicians (for example, through masterclasses)
- supporting specific projects, such as the Chamber Babies CD
- enabling us to extend access to high-quality live music to young listeners (through Chamber Babies) and disadvantaged groups.
We continue to seek sponsorship and grant aid from other sources, but in the current challenging economic climate the support of our Friends is more vital than ever to secure our future plans.
How it works
You can become a BMS Friend for as little as £5 a month. There are two levels of Friends membership:
BMS Friends – Silver
- advance notification for the International Festival and Northern Lights Mini-Fest
- an exclusive Friends rate for subscription tickets to the International Festival
- reserved seating on request
- an acknowledgement on our website and in the Festival programme
- a free Festival programme
BMS Friends – Gold
- advance notification for the International Festival and Northern Lights Mini-Fest
- an exclusive Friends rate for subscription tickets to the International Festival
- reserved seating on request
- an acknowledgement on our website and in the Festival programme
- a free Festival programme
- two free tickets to a concert of their choice in the International Festival of Chamber Music*
- invitations to special events which may be organised from time to time
*Please note: the value of the free tickets offered to Gold Friends (£40 per pair of tickets) cannot be included in a claim for Gift Aid on a donation. A single Gold donation of £110 (i.e. £150-40) would qualify for Gift Aid. If you would like to contribute as a Gold Friend, but do not wish to receive benefits, you can make a donation-only contribution; BMS can then claim Gift Aid on the total donation. Pay by cheque
If this is your preferred option you can send a cheque made payable to ‘Belfast Music Society Limited’ to BMS Treasurer, The Crescent, 2–4 University Road, Belfast BT7 1NH. Please download the Friends membership form to enclose with your cheque.
